The painted relief depicts a landscape from the Cretaceous period. It shows the beauty and rich colors of the prehistoric flora, where various grasses and leaves create an incredible ornament of forms and rhythms at each level of the forest. A raptor takes the central stage of the relief, an unusual character for a landscape painting. According to the modern stage of knowledge in paleonthology, many smaller dinosaurs were covered with feathers and could boast bright colors, just like birds nowadays.
For me, paleontological art is a genre that can provide for distinct and unconventional images for creative realization. Dinosaurs can be interesting characters for a painting and can deliver an feeling of aesthetics and novelty of figurative forms.
