Beauty and power of tigers is awesome, their posture and movements contain both strength and dignity, and they have always been especially attractive and inspiring to me. The sculpture depicts an Amur tiger that has stopped on the forest edge to look around his territory. An early spring is in the air, the snow has only started to melt, and withered grass reappears from under the winter cover.
In this composition I experimented with color using its possibilities to animate the sculpture and convey the spring mood. The viewer can feel the chill of an early spring in the forest and the warmth of the sun by looking at the slightly melted ice.
